Some of my readers are already aware that I am happily in a new relationship. What might not be common knowledge is that my partner happens to be a poet on Medium.
It comes as no surprise that our shared love for writing played an integral role in bringing us together.
We have been talking to each other for several months now and right from the start he expressed his willingness to meet me.
However, I wasn’t ready then.
Yet, he won me over with patience, tenderness, and unwavering persistence. And his poetry, oh my!
Given my current understanding of the demands of his professional life, I am profoundly touched by his commitment to creating these exquisite poems with me in mind.
What can I say — he sure has a flair for articulating romantic sentiments with sophistication and charm!
And finally, after a prolonged period of eager anticipation, the moment we had been waiting for arrived: he came to spend a week in my city.
A Room With a View
Who wouldn’t want to wake up to views like this of Boston Seaport?
More so at night when the city lights would shimmer creating reflections that danced upon the water.
Not surprisingly, we were otherwise occupied to fully appreciate the stunning views except perhaps at night when you would hold me tight just before we surrendered to sleep.
Making Waves and Memories
I have been on many cruises but the Boston Harbor Cruise could very well be my all-time favorite. Was it on account of the delightful companionship I enjoyed or does the credit go to the hilarious tour guide who kept us in splits the whole time?
What Happens On The Rooftop Stays on the Rooftop
While at the top of The Pru, remember how I told you that I love observing cute couples walking hand in hand? Your playful comeback was, “Why don’t we go look in the mirror?”
I love how you know exactly what to say to put a smile on my face.
Leave the Drama Down There. Let’s Party Up Here
Dining at The Beacon on the 50th floor of The Pru resplendent with 360-degree vistas of the city was something I knew we had to do during your visit.
However, it was a little over the top for me.
To be honest, I preferred the cozy little restaurant in Cambridge not only because the food was hot and delicious but because I got to feed you tasty morsels from my plate.
Cityscapes and Coffee Breaks
From partaking in the historical tour of Harvard University to visiting the New England Aquarium and from strolling through the picturesque Boston Commons to savoring the warmth of hot chocolate at Downtown Crossing, it was quite the whirlwind tour indeed.
